The leader of a women’s association urged the national government of South Sudan to balance the recruitment of medical students in the national and states health training institutes.
Yei Women Association chairperson Sarah Natalina said most medical students in Yei National Training Institute are from other states and students from Central Equatoria State are few, Radio Easter reported.She said when the students finish their training they will go to other states leaving fast growing cities like Juba and Yei without sufficient medical stuff.
Mama Sarah appealed to the government to recruit staff from the hosting county of Yei.
She made these remarks yesterday during the celebration of the International Women’s Day in Yei Freedom Square.
