LAND COMMISSION APPEALS TO PATIENCE

The South Sudan Land Commission is appealing to the public to be patient while investigations conclude on the incident that took place at Kamiru Village, near Juba.

Between Saturday and Monday at least eight people were killed, including a pregnant woman and some children, in an violent incident over land issues in Kamiru village, Gudele.

South Sudan Land Commission Deputy Chairperson Cornelius Lado Kulang issued a statement yesterday strongly condemning what he described as heinous and barbaric incident.

He presented sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives during the incident.

Mr Lado said the Commission is constituting a fact finding committee to investigate the incident in collaboration with the concerned autjhorities.

Yesterday, MP Paul Yoane Bonju accused men of uniform to be behind the senseless killings.
