The headmaster of a secondary school in Torit has urged the state government to provide security at the establishment to avoid theft of computers and books recently brought to the place.

UNMISS, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, last Monday opened a Computer Centre and Library at Torit Day Secondary School in Eastern Equatoria State, Radio Emmanuel reported.

Ten computers, including eight desktops and two laptops, and 11 computer tablets with other equipment were installed at the centre.

Celesio Ohure Mun said a similar computer centre was established at Dr. John Garang Memorial School but the equipment was stolen and the project collapsed.

He asked the state government to provide at least two police officers to guard the newly computer centre and library.

Mr Ohure thanked the Sixth Bangladeshi Battalion for the centre and library projects at Torit Day Secondary School.
