Juba residents recognize that the capital has changed for better although people had to bear some negative effects.
Juba dweller Ajok Ayuen Mabior told CRN that he lives in the capital since 2006 and he witnessed many good changes in roads, houses and the way local people live.He said people have spread around Juba and are building better houses.
Mr Ayuen added that Juba is growing faster and there are some individual problems that cannot be easily solved.
Ching-chong Awai Deng on the other hand said Juba is developing well but residents suffer negative consequences.
He criticized contracts with foreigners to build and use facilities for five to ten years.
Mr Awai said the money foreign developers pay is very little and will lose value with time.
He condemned private companies that dispose their waste in the river.
He said they do not care about public health since a great number of people drinks from the river.
Mr Awai said before independence the environment in Juba was better.
He added that now rubbish is being dumped everywhere putting public health at risk.
