The students and pupils from two Catholic schools have been asked to get recommendation letters from Diocese of El-Obeid in Nuba Mountains in order to join other schools.
Saint Joseph and Saints Peter and Paul Primary and secondary schools closed down in June last when the war broke out after expatriate teachers returned to their countries.Saints Peter and Paul Primary School Headmaster said there is no clear information whether the schools are going to open this year.
He asked the pupils and students to get recommendation letters that would allow them to join other schools in other areas.
He ensured them that they will be welcomed back when the schools are operational.
He encouraged the pupils and students, who chose to go to Yida refuge camp in Unity state and Kenya, to cope up with the different situations and be patient and study hard.
He added that the schools are likely to open this month if the political and security situation improve.
