The commissioner and head of departments in Yei River County held this morning a meeting with the heads of NGOs present in the county.
Commissioner Elia Waiwai said he called the conference to know the NGOs that are still operating in the county, their programmes, budgets and services delivered to the community, Radio Eater reported.He explained that some NGOs left the county and others are operating without the knowledge of the local authorities.
Mr Waiwai said the NGOs work in partnership with the local government and they need to find the way forward to collaborate with each other.
More than 30 representatives attended the conference at Yei’s County Council Hall.
