The Catholic parish of Tonj will receive the visiting relic of St John Bosco tomorrow.

Shyjan Job, the assistant parish priest and director of Don Bosco radio, said the relic will land at Tonj airstrip tomorrow in the morning.

He added that the visit of relics is a tradition of the church and part of a world pilgrimage.

Fr Shyjan extended an invitation to the people of Jonj East County to come and participate in the event and see Don Bosco’s relic.

He added that the saint worked tirelessly for the cause of young people in the world.

The relic of Don Bosco will be received by church and the county authorities at the airstrip, followed by a prayerful procession to Freedom Square where the welcoming speeches are going to be delivered.

The relic of Don Bosco is making a worldwide tour and it reached the Republic of South Sudan on Saturday with an official reception in Wau.
