Eastern Equatoria Governor yesterday signed the State Transitional Constitution and took the oath of office before hundreds of citizens and guests from other states.
Governor Louis Lobong Lojore thanked the national Justice Ministry and the state’s Constitutional Review Committee for the hard work to produce the Transitional Constitution.He said that taking the oath of office was a renewal for his commitment to serve the people of Eastern Equatoria wholeheartedly and with integrity and fairness.
Mr Lobong prayed God to give him wisdom and grace in order to lead the people with justice, forgiveness and truth.
The governor declared that his government will provide full security throughout the state, improve on agriculture and promote peaceful coexistence among the communities and their neighbours.
Mr Lobong added that his government will increase access to Justice, enforce the rule of law and promote a transparent, accountable and inclusive government.
