Yei River County launched a measles vaccination campaign yesterday targeting children from six months to the under five years of age.
County health department officer Cons Guya told Radio Easter that the campaign was a follow up of a previous vaccination campaign because cases of measles outbreak were reported last year.He said the campaign will continue for five days to cover children who were not vaccinated during last year’s campaign.
Mr Guya said the campaign covers all six counties of Central Equatoria and teams of 79 members were already sent to each county.
The campaign will finish at the weekend.
