The Catholic Bishop of Yei has called on Christians to pray for total peace across the ten states of South Sudan.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe said South Sudan came a long way through the struggle adding that people should work for peace in South Sudan in order to develop the nation.Bishop Lodu said it was unfortunate that South Sudan still had some internal problems with some tribes fighting and killing each other in some parts of Jonglei State.
He added that it was very painful to see that South Sudanese were killing themselves.
Bishp Lodu appealed to the citizens and their leaders to pray for peace and work hard to solve internal problems such as the tribal clashes in Jonglei State
The bishop of Yei made these remarks during his homily at the New Year’s Mass in Christ the King Cathedral.
