The Catholic Parish of Tonj celebrated yesterday Children’s Day during the Holy Innocents’ feast with more than 100 children in attendance from morning till evening.
Sister Rita Kullu told Radio Don Bosco that the program began with a prayer in the morning.Then the kids, aged from three to ten, played different games including bursting balloons and musical chairs.
Sr. Rita said the idea was to make children understand the message of Jesus’ birth.
She added that children learned how to praise and worship Jesus.
Jacob Yongrual, one participant, said he was very happy to attend the feast because he learned many games he will never forget.
At the end, the children received many prizes including small bags, pencils and exercise books.
