The security situation during the Christmas in Yei River County was calm because security forces were strategically organized and deployed to guard the celebrations.
This is the analysis Criminal Investigation Sergeant Ephraim Lomude Duku made to Radio Easter.
He added that the county got an extra 60 police officers to strengthen security in the county.
Mr Lomude said Yei gradually will become peaceful again.
He added that the security situation in the county improved following the efforts of Yei River County Commissioner of Police Colonel Atim Garang who requested forces from Juba to battle the crime cases.
Mr Lomude appealed to the public to reduce drug consumption especially alcohol which he said it is responsible for escalating crime cases in the county.
He added that citizens should work collectively with the security personnel to report and identify crime cases to the concerned authorities.
