Members of the Lou Nuer community yesterday took control of Likwangule Payam in Jonglei State.
The executive director of Pibor County Allan Keri told Bakhita Radio this morning over the phone that Lou Nuer attacked Likwangule, killed some people and burned houses and offices, destroying everything in the payam.He added that at Nyarasere Boma 21 people were killed and seven others injured.
The injured were evacuated to Juba Teaching Hospital.
Mr Keri said Lou Nuer warriors clashed yesterday with the youth of Murle killing some ten people at another area.
The wounded are under the trees with no treatment.
Mr Keri added that as the Lou Nuer seem to advance towards Pibor County many people went into hiding in the bush without food.
Mr Keri called on the authorities in Juba to come in and rescue the situation.
