The head of the Catholic Diocese of Malakal has asked the faithful to celebrate the nativity of Jesus Christ in peace.
Apostolic administrator Roko Taban Musa told the congregation on Christmas night at Christ the King Parish in Malakal that the festival should be celebrated with peace in the hearts because God sent his only son to bring peace to the world, Radio Voice of Love reported.Monsignor Taban said the issue of the cattle raiding in Jonglei state poses a threat to peace in South Sudan.
He said cattle raiding and robbing other people’s properties are devil practices.
Monsignor Taban added that Christians should love each other and stop bad talk against other communities.
He asked the youths who are known as √É’niggaz’ or √É’niggers’ to stop their bad activities against their own people.
