The Catholic Bishop of Torit advised South Sudanese citizens to be patient with their leaders and give them time to perform their duties.

South Sudan, the newest nation in the world, is just about five months old but many people are already disgruntled and dissatisfied with the slow pace of change in the country.

Bishop Johnson Akio Mutek said this is not the time for dissatisfaction and citizens should be patient.

He called on the leaders to dialogue with those who are dissatisfied and bring them closer to the Government.

Bishop Akio said one dissatisfied person can easily start a war but it demands the involvement of the entire world to bring peace to the nation.

Bishop Akio added that a nation cannot be built by eliminating one another but resolve differences through talks.

He urged the people of South Sudan not to distort their heroic history by creating violence.

Bishop Akio made these remarks during an interview with Radio Emmanuel at his residence in Torit.
