Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe of Yei made this statement yesterday while delivering his homily to the congregation celebrating Christmas Mass, Radio Easter reported.He said Christmas is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ sent by God to free the world form death.
Bishop Erkolano added that Jesus was born to set the people and the world free from troubles and the people of South Sudan should not welcome steps of war in South Sudan but reject elements that will want to destabilize the new nation.
He said people should forgive one another and enter the New Year with new hearts and actions.
The prelate appealed to the security personnel in the county to protect citizens from any foreign and internal aggression.
