The governor of Jonglei state confirmed that Lou Nuer youths were mobilizing themselves for fresh attacks in Murle areas.
Kuol Manyak Juk told Bakhita Radio on Thursday in Juba that there were rumours of youths from the Nuer community mobilizing themselves to carry out revenge attack against the Murle people in Pibor County.
Mr. Kuol confirmed that until Thursday the Nuer had not yet carried out any attack against the Murle.
He said Vice President Riak Machar Teny and the Government of Jonglei state appealed to the two communities to restrain from any revenge attack.
However, this morning Baba Medani Knoyi, a MP from North Pibor constituency, revealed that Lou Nuer and Bor Dinka youths attacked Murle communities in Karenya and Wuno bormas.
