Armed robbers last night broke into the Sacred Heart Parish-Lomin, in Kajo Keji County, and looted a number of items valued in 50 thousand US dollars.
The Financial administrator of the Catholic diocese of Yei, Fr. Alex Lodiong, told Radio Easter said eight robbers armed with Kalashnikov machineguns broke into the parish’s residence and looted personal computers, mobile telephones and cash from the missionaries.
The robbers drove away with a brand new car belonging to the parish.
Fr. Lodiong appealed to the security organs in Kajo-Keji to step up efforts to ensure such unlawful acts are scrapped from the society.
