A new priest ordained Sunday in Yei shared the emotions he went through during the big day he was longing for.
Comboni Missionary Phillip Andruga Kenyi was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe of Yei in a very colourful and participated ceremony.Fr. Andruga told CRN News at the end of the celebration that he was happy and moved by the ordination and by the participation of so many people who wanted to share in his joy.
He said his ordination was the big day he was waiting for.
Fr. Andruga explained he wants to be a priest following the example of Christ, the Good Shepherd.
He said he wants to serve people as Christ did and share in their sorrows and joys.
Fr. Andruga, who hails from Yei, will serve as assistant parish priest at Sacred Heart Parish in Lomin, Kajo Keji.
