The President of the Republic has condemned again Sudan’s military acts of aggression against South Sudan’s territory saying they aim at taking the oil fields.
Last week Sudan Air Force planes bombed areas of Upper Nile and Unity states and the Southern Army accused Khartoum to be behind clashes at Kwek barracks, in Upper Nile’s border area.Salva Kiir Mayardit said during the Governors’ Forum opening yesterday in Juba that all of these aggressions from Khartoum are aimed at disabling South Sudan and taking the oil fields.
The president vowed he will never allow South Sudan’s sovereignty to be violated.
Mr Kiir added that the attacks against South Sudan are also intended to divert the attention of the people of Sudan.
