A delegation from the National Employees Justice Chamber is in Lakes State to monitor and evaluate the activities of the organization in the region.
The delegation, led by the National Commissioner and Head of State Affairs Ajak Akon Majak, arrived in Rumbek on Wednesday.He told Good News Radio that the delegation was in town to link with Lakes State authorities in view of establishing an effective organizational structure.
Other objectives included the clarification of areas of support as requested by Lakes State, and gathering of feedback with regard to the performance of the state government.
Mr. Akon clarified that the Chamber’s main activities revolve around the resolution of disputes that may arise between Government employees and their employers with the aim of ensuring good governance.
The chamber’s National Inspector of Investigations, Stephen Madit, said institutions often resist the resolutions from the Chamber.
He decried the lack of Public Service, Civil Service and Labour laws that could pave the way for better cooperation between constitutional institutions.
The delegation is expected to complete its work within three days.
