East Heiban County, in Nuba Mountains, is facing severe food and fuel shortages due to the ongoing fighting between the government and rebel forces.
Areas like Kauda and Gidel have reported that they ran out of dura in the local markets.Many communities are already feeding from the new harvest, but the crops are not enough.
Reports say if the food situation does not change within two months, the population of Heiban will face serious starvation.
The county is also suffering from acute fuel shortage for sometime.
