The President of the Republic paid a brief visit to Wau yesterday on the way to his home town, Akon, in Warrap State.
Salva Kiir Mayardit told the crowd at the Governor’s office that his visit was private, Radio Voice of Hope reported.He added that he would be back to Wau to thank the people of Western Bahr El Ghazal for their vote during the 2010 presidency elections.
Mr. Kiir held a security meeting with the state officials.
He hailed the state government for the development in the state.
Mr. Kiir left in the evening for Akon to visit his home area.
