LAW ASSOCIATION STEMS EFFORTS TO ENLIGHTEN PUBLIC ON CONSTITUTION CONTENTS

The South Sudan Law Society launched today a program to engage citizens in dialogue on the contents of the Transitional Constitution of South Sudan.

Dong Samuel Luak said the fundamental law is not well disseminated and citizens are not aware of its content.

He said the Law Society and the civil society will try to enlighten the public by distributing the text and promoting public discussions.

Mr Dong said the Interim Constitution must be people driven by allowing citizens contribute with their ideas.

He added that the Law Society will promote dialogue and consultation among citizens on constitutional issues.

The launch that took place today in Juba hosted a number of prominent speakers.
