The Catholic Archbishop of Juba has appointed a new vicar general yesterday during a meeting with the local clergy.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro announced to the Church personnel celebrating St Daniel Comboni last evening that Fr. Nicolas Kiri is the new vicar general of the Archdiocese of Juba.

Fr. Kiri succeeds to assistant Bishop Santo Loku Pio, who was appointed to the office in February.

The new vicar general was the director of PALICA, the Pastoral, Liturgical and Catechetical office.

Archbishop Lukudu asked the priests to present names to fill the vacancy at PALICA.
