The Republic of South Sudan needs to invest heavily in agriculture to produce food and reach a level of food security to its population.
FAO’s procurement officer Gama Joseph Joshua told Radio Easter that his organization was supporting the government of South Sudan to develop its agriculture by supporting local farmers in capacity building.He said farmers should work in groups in their projects so that they work hard and have access to training, tools and seeds to improve their productivity.
Mr. Gama was speaking at training workshop for 45 government and FAO officials at the Crop Training Centre in Yei.
