HIV TREATMENT HUGE CHALLENGE IN SOUTH SUDAN

HIV treatment is a big challenge in South Sudan due to lack of expertise in the country.

The chairperson of South Sudan Network of People Lliving with HIV, Lole Lokule Lole, told Bakhita Radio that treatment remain a big issues in the country due to the gap in knowledge about the stages of treatment.

He said a successful treatment should go through four stages adding that South Sudan is struggling at first stage of treatment due to lack of expertise.

Mr. Lole added that HIV/AIDS positive people seek treatment in Kenya and Uganda.

He added that stress and stigma may kill people with HIV/AIDS because many people are afraid to make their status public.

Mr. Lole said people should know their status and understand that th disease is not only contracted only by sex.
