Laniya County received this week its share from the Constituency Development Fund for the implementation of projects in this year’s budget.
Lainya County information officer Lugalla Hillary told Easter Radio over the phone that the funds are budgeted for 2010-2011.He reported that during the presentation of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) on Monday Joice Dusuman Lesu from the National Assembly said the six payams of Lainya received almost two million South Sudanese pounds.
Mr. Lugalla added that the CFD money will be used to build five primary schools, one payam headquarters and one Women’s centre.
He added that construction work will start in November after the rains.
CDF chairman for Lainya County David John Lemi said communities at payam level should monitor delays in the implantation of the projects.
