Evangelization is a way of bringing peace to rural areas in South Sudan.

The is the view of Pastor Jose Sebit from the Episcopal Church of Sudan. He appealed to the government to form a committee or allow church leaders to go to rural areas and preach the word of God to bring about peace, Voice of Love reported.

Rev. Sebit said there are some places in South Sudan the Bible did not reach yet due to the civil war.

He asked the government to strengthen Christian and Muslim religious leaders to preach peace and the Word of God because God is the water of peace.

Rev. Sebit asked the people of South Sudan to love one another.

He said peace should be at the top of South Sudan’s priorities.

He added forgiveness is the friend of peace and people should reconcile with one another.

Rev. Sebit advised people in rural areas to seek God and stop tribal and cattle conflicts.

He told them that lives are more important than cattle.

Rev. Sebit made these statements during the celebration of Peace Day yesterday in Malakal.
