The Catholic Archbishop of Juba asked the Christian community of South Bari to display a new attitude now that they are a new parish.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro made the appeal yesterday during a solemn mass that marked the beginning of the parish of St. Matthew √ɬê Lo’bonok.

The Archbishop told the people of South Bari that he trusted them.

Archbishop Lukudu paid homage to the missionaries who started evangelizing the area in 1919, coming from Rejaf.

He instituted the pastoral zone of Lo’bonok in 2001 in order for its refugees to get assistance in Uganda.

The parish priest of All Saints Ð Rejaf, Fr. Hilary Morbe Anthony, told his former parishioners that the new parish is a gift from Jesus Christ and from the Holy Spirit.

He asked the Lo’bonok community to take good care of that gift by being active evangelizers of other communities.

Yesterday, the community of South Bari celebrated with great joy and in style the institution of St. Matthew √ɬê Lo’bonok parish.
