An opposition leader dismissed the allegations made by defected members that the party has a military wing and supports armed militias in South Sudan.
Minority Leader at the National Assembly Onyoti Adigo Nyakwech denied categorically the repeated claims that the SPLM-DC has militias and supports other armed groups.He accused the SPLM of campaigning to discredit his party.
Mr. Adigo said if the SPLM-DC has militias and supports other armed group former secretary general Sandra Boma Moluwal – who resigned last week – should have produced the document detailing how and with whom the party was involved because she has inside knowledge.
Mr. Adigo said the defection of Ms. Malwal and other members is part of a SPLM project against SPLM-DC members.
SCR News saw the copy of Ms. Molwal’s e-mailed resignation to the SPLM-DC Chairman Lam Akol citing family reasons for leaving the party.
Ms. Molwal in a press conference accused the SPLM-DC of lacking vision and having a military wing and supporting other armed groups.
