The two youths from the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba who participated in the World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain, last week, arrived yesterday very happy with their experience.

Jackson Tongun Fredrick told Bakhita Radio that it was important to interact with the youth all over the world in the presence of the Pope.

He said he was extremely happy to be in Madrid, a dream that became reality.

Mr. Tongun added that he did not expect to see and photograph the Pope three metres away from him.

Lily Bangu Elia said God had a purpose to send them to take part in the event.

She advised the youth in South Sudan to place God first and build their lives upon Him.

Ms. Bangu added that the youth across the country should put into practice what they hear from God.

The leader of the youth in the Archdiocese of Juba, Primo Wani, welcomed the two youths yesterday at Juba International Airport together with the acting archdiocesan secretary general, Fr. Samuel Abbe.

Mr. Wai said the trip to Madrid helped the youth gain some experience and assist them to plan better activities in the archdiocese.
