The National Legislative Assembly approved today the recently appointed Chief Justice and Governor of South Sudan Central Bank and his two deputies today.
Last week, President Salva Kiir Mayardit appointed Kornelio Koryom Manyiik as Governor of the Central Bank of South Sudan and John Dor Majok and Jamal Abdallah Wani as deputy governors and Justice Chan Reeh Madut as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of South Sudan.Today the National Legislative Assembly approved the appointments.
The MPs erupted in a unanimous ovation after the select committee chairperson read the motion approving Mr. Reec as Chief Justice.
Mr. Reec chaired the South Sudan Referendum Bureau.
