Five people were killed and 20 injured last Saturday when a landmine was blown by a vehicle in Unity State.
A local source told SCR News that the deadly blast happened near Bentiu, between Marial Guit and Nyaldieu.The landmine was allegedly planted by militias led by Gai Yoach.
Mr. Yoach did not accept Peter Gadet’s peace deal with the SPLA.
The source added that the rebels split into small groups and are planting landmines in and around Bentiu, the capital of Unity State.
Flights to and from Bentiu have been suspended after a grenade was found on the road to the airport.
