China’s foreign minister arrives today in Juba for an official visit to promote China-South Sudan friendship and cooperation.
Yang Jiechi said in a statement that his visit just a month after the independence gives testimony to the importance China attaches to cultivating friendship and cooperation with South Sudan.He added that China-South Sudan friendship and cooperation is built on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence: politics, trade and economy, investment, bilateral cooperation, human resources and cultural exchanges.
Mr. Jiechi is in South Sudan at the invitation of foreign minister Deng Alor Kol.
