The health ministry proposed eight tips in order to stay healthy during the independence celebrations day.
Emmanuel Lino from GoSS ministry of health called on the people to drink plenty of clean water to avoid dehydration during the celebrations, Bakhita Radio reported.People should avoid alcohol during the celebrations period because it can affect one’s ability to celebrate responsibly.
The message called on people to eat a balanced diet, sleep under treated mosquito nets to avoid malaria, wash hands and go to a health centre if one is not feeling well.
The message from the health ministry also called on people suffering from chronic diseases like asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure to take their medications on time to avoid any heath complications.
Finally, people should be calm during the celebrations period.
