She told Bakhita Radio that about 150 women will march and sing the National anthem during the independence declaration. She said she was proud of the women’s commitment because they could sing the anthem perfectly even if many did not speak English at all.
Mama Sarah urged all the women of South Sudan to come to the Women’s Union headquarters in Juba to learn the anthem.
She added that during the training the women learn also about the meaning of the national hymn.
Mama Sarah said the women will dress in white T- shirts and black skirts, donning a traditional “lao” during the celebration.
She disclosed that the “lao” contains the map of South Sudan and the photos of President Salva Kiir and late Dr. John Garang.
