Eight bombs have hit Kauda in Nuba Mountains near an NGO compound behind a local radio station yesterday at around 4:00 PM.

The bombs launched by an Antonov killed one pregnant woman, and left five people seriously injured, including a baby, Voice of Peace FM reported.

The bombs were targeting Kauda radio station while SPLM leader Abdul Aziz Al-Hilu was on air.

However, the programme was pre-recorded and the former Southern Kordofan deputy-governor was not in danger.

Another source reported that five people were killed during an air raid in Um Serdiba: one mother with her three children plus an Arab teacher.

MIG jet fighters and Antonov bombers keep on targeting civilian villages in Nuba Mountains since the beginning of the month.
