Eastern Equatoria State started yesterday a two-day conference ahead of Independence, bringing together various leaders from across the state.
The conference is being attended by over 100 guests who are debating the theme Justice, Democracy, Accountability and Progress, Emmanuel Radio reported.Eastern Equatoria governor Louis Lojore Lobong is the chief guest of the conference that aims at bringing together the state’s elites.
He said the conference follows the recommendations from the Equatoria Conference held recently in Juba.
Mr. Lojore added that the resolutions passed by the Equatoria Conference need to be implemented collectively in cooperation and good faith.
He encouraged the participants to rate the performance of his first year of administration.
GoSS special advisor Joseph Lagu, former state governor Aloisio Emor Ojetuk, and MP Peter Longole Kuam are among key participants invited to the conference.
Eight representatives from each County were invited to the conference in order to ensure inclusive participation.
