Learning is a continuous process and it is through learning that skills are attained and passed to other people.

This is the position of Milcah Lalam, acting Principle of Yei’s Reconcile Peace Institute (RPI).

She told gradates yesterday that their learning process did not conclude with the award of certificates.

Ms. Lalam urged the graduates to work hard and with patience and learn from the people they serve.

The acting principle said the students came from five different states of South Sudan and two states of the North Sudan: Upper Nile, Central, Eastern and Western Equatoria, Jonglei, South Darfur and South Kordofan.

Ms. Lalam added that despite the great cultural diversity the students lived like brothers and sisters.

Graduate Awate Lucy said she was very happy to conclude the course though it was difficult to reach the final day.

She urged other people to train on trauma and peace building.

Ms. Awate said these are skills needed very much in South Sudan.

Martin Okudo Paul from Eastern Equatoria said he was happy with the knowledge and skills he learned at RPI.

He added that he will share the acquired knowledge with other people when he returns to his state.
