The SPLM does not accept to renegotiate privately the Abyei Protocol with the NCP.

SPLM secretary for political affairs and mobilisation Antipas Nyok told Bakhita Radio yesterday that his party was not in position to renegotiate the Abyei Protocol without the involvement of all stakeholders.

He recognized that there were difficulties to implement some provisions from the protocol.

Mr. Nyok said there were no SPLA troops in Blue Nile and South Kordofan special areas.

He added that the army of South Sudan withdrew from the two areas in 2006.

Mr. Nyok urged Southern Sudanese to remain calm until the day of Independence.
