The University of Juba administration announced last week the closure of the institution until further notice citing lack of budget to carry on with academic activities.
The move saddened many students.Noura Cosmas, a diploma student, told SCR News that closing down the University was going to affect her as a girl because she has many plans to fulfil.
She added that it was not right for her to stay long at the University saying at least one has to do something different.
Ester Joun Amosa said suspending studies for a full year was going to interrupt students’ learning process and performance.
She added that it has a negative impact on students and interfered with their plans for the year.
A student at the College of Natural Resources, Ochan Joseph Lazarus, said the University has failed to fulfil its promise to renovate the old buildings and build new structures.
The University of Juba was rescheduled to open this month but it was closed due to lack of money to run it.
