The Committee for Accommodation for the Independence Celebrations revealed that 2,000 rooms in Juba’s top hotels were earmarked to be upgraded, including d√Ö¬Ωcor and beddings, to host high level dignitaries invited to the event.
The committee’s spokesperson Ephraim Wani Peter told SCR News today that 2,000 rooms were surveyed and graded to receive world leaders, representatives and dignitaries attending the independence celebration.He added that owners will receive advance payments next week to start improving the rooms.
Mr. Wani said 1,500 guests of honour were invited to witness the independence of South Sudan.
He explained that an extra 500 rooms were booked for any eventuality.
