Over 300 prison warders graduated after one year training in Himodonge centre in Torit.
Eastern Equatoria deputy governor Nartisio Manir Loluke said the training represented the state’s efforts to introduce discipline and act as a foundation for the new nation.Mr. Loluke urged the new graduates to demonstrate their skills when deployed to their respective work places.
Director of Prison Service in Eastern Equatoria state, William Deng Garang Beny, explained that the officers were trained in various aspects of services including human rights and administration of prisons among others.
Mr. Deng said the third batch of trained officers will be deployed to counties, payams and bomas.
He said the graduates come form all counties and bomas of Eastern Equatoria state.
