The five-day polio vaccination campaign that started on Tuesday is carried out by the state ministry of health in conjunction with the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
The manager for Expanded Programme for Immunization, Acha Roger, told Emmanuel Radio that the state ministry of health has trained about 3,000 door-to-door vaccinators.
He added that the five-day polio vaccination campaign targets children with less than five years of age.
Mr. Roger said the vaccination exercise that ends on Sunday covers the entire eight counties of Eastern Equatoria state.
