State health authorities launched a new anti-polio campaign in Eastern Equatoria in conjunction with World health Organization and UNICEF.
The polio vaccination campaign targets children under five years of age, Emmanuel Radio reported.The manager for Expanded Programme for Immunization Acha Roger said the polio vaccination campaign lasts for five days.
He added that another immunization campaign for acceleration of five antigens that include tuberculosis, measles, tetanus, and whooping cough also started yesterday and runs until Sunday.
The immunization is covering seven counties, including Kapoeta South, Kapoeta East, Kapoeta North, Budi, Ikwoto, Lafon-Lopa and Torit.
