Yei River County yesterday launched the second round of national immunization campaign against polio.

County polio supervisor Guliva Wani told the crowd that gathered at Yei Freedom Square that officials would go from house to house to give the two-drop oral vaccine to children under five years of age, Easter Radio reported.

Mr. Wani said he wanted Yei Count and South Sudan to be a polio-free zone.

The polio supervisor said the authorities did not want to hear that there were parents who were refusing to have their children vaccinated against polio because the vaccine was safe.
