The president of the Bank of South Sudan warned on Saturday that the region has no enough funds to complete basic projects like construction of roads, hospitals and schools.

Elijah Malok, who was endorsed to the post of new president o the Central Bank of South Sudan, told SCR News after he officially closed the SPLM economic workshop, that projects compete on meagre resources creating conflicts in the system because there is no enough money.

He added that his government is not sure if the central treasury gives the full fifty percent of the oil revenue to the government of South Sudan.

Mr. Malok is optimistic that things will change when the government of South Sudan starts controlling fully the oil revenue.

Mr. Malok warned the people who have over expectations for the new independent nation that no country has ever had sufficient resources for its economy.

He said the available resources should be organized to finance key projects that develop the economy like the agriculture sector.

Mr. Malok also mentioned macroeconomic projects as another way to help develop the economy in South Sudan.
