YEI RIVER COUNTY CELEBRATES WOMEN’S DAY

Yei River County residents yesterday joined the rest of the world to celebrate the international women’s day under the theme “Equal access to education, training, Science and technology path way to descent work to women”.

Speaking at the function at Yei’s Freedom Square, vice chairlady of Yei River County Women’s Association Jane Yebu urged the government to build more schools for girls, Easter Radio reported.

She said adult schools should be opened for unlearned women.

Ms. Yebu thanked women for their active participation in taking responsibilities and working in various departments.

She called for unity and love among the peoples of South Sudan as they patiently wait for the official declaration of independence.

Ms. Yebu thanked NGOs, CBOs, the government and all who contributed to the success of the celebration.
