Yirol women marked yesterday their day at Payii River, Lakes State.
Karak Mayik, Country Director of Women for Women International Sudan Chapter, called on the people of South Sudan to promote peace, love and unity among themselves and prayed to God for the grace to shun tribalism and violent conflicts.Ms. Mayik called on the women to celebrate with dance the birth of the new nation, and to forget all the pains they endured through the many years of war.
Yirol West County Commissioner Makur Kulang praised the local community for sending more and more children to school, including girls.
